Spike has been in the acting world for over thirty years, starting with his training at University of Houston, gaining him a Baccalaureate Degree from the Honors Program as a Drama Major.

Onscreen, he has been in scenes with 4 Academy Award nominees (2 won). He worked with Sandra Bullock, Frank Langella, Tommy Lee Jones, and Alan Bates.
